The Role

As a Fixed Plant Maintenance Superintendent you will provide leadership, safety oversight, and efficient asset management to support both the Mine Processing Plant and Underground operations. The primary goal is to uphold exceptional asset management standards in alignment with the Strategic Asset Management Plan (SAMP) and Asset Management Plans (AMPs) for surface and underground fixed plant and mobile equipment fleet.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team for electrical maintenance on surface and underground fixed plant and mobile fleet.
  • Implement effective Work Management systems in line with SAMP and AMP.
  • Improve maintenance strategies per MECP and EECP.
  • Ensure compliance with Mine Safety Act and maintenance plans.
  • Achieve KPIs for plant and machine availability.
  • Manage costs and report monthly to Senior Leadership.
  • Investigate equipment failures and conduct root cause analyses.
  • Supervise major mobile equipment off-site maintenance.
  • Review work planning methods, collect data, and implement action plans.
  • Collaborate with Mining and Processing Teams for a safe working environment.
  • Participate in safety inspections and audits.
  • Provide feedback and development plans for direct reports.
  • Pursue personal targets and development activities.
  • Stay updated on procedures, practices, and safety systems.
