Illawarra:

Our team services the beautiful coastal region of the Illawarra that stretches from Austinmer down to Kiama. We have a range of different shifts and hours available in either a Part Time or Casual capacity offering you work/life balance and flexibility. In support of our team we have split the Illawarra in two; Northern Austinmer to Wollongong and Wollongong to Kiama.

About the role:

Our Home Service Carers provide compassionate and exceptional care, ensuring our customers comfort and independence in the familiar surroundings of their own homes. You will make a difference through tasks such as domestic cleaning, personal care, cooking, transport social outings, shopping, home maintenance and gardening. If you are passionate about what you do and want to support our customers to have great lives, then this is the job for you.

We currently have a high number of requests for experienced female home carers to provide personal care for our female customers to ensure their dignity and privacy.

To be successful will need: 

  • An empathy and commitment to the care of older people
  • Certificate III in Aged Care or Similar
  • Administer and Monitor Medications Certificate HLTHP007 (highly desirable)
  • Good interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised
  • Availability to attend our 3 day on-boarding program
  • Current First Aid certificate or enrolled to obtain
  • Current Drivers Licence, a reliable car with comprehensive car insurance

Onboarding: 

If your application is successful, you will be required to commence employment to our three day On-boarding Program. Our training is hosted by our internal clinical educators and will cover all things Warrigal. The essential skills that we cover will set you up for success that ensure our customers have the highest quality care. Our On-boarding is held fortnightly.

Successful candidates will be required to undergo pre-employment checks including reference checks, pre-employment medical, a National Criminal History Check/NDIS Worker Screening Check & Qualification Check.
