Eurofins Agroscience Australia/New Zealand is a leading provider of analytical services, regulatory consulting and technical support to the crop protection industry, seed businesses and veterinary medicine companies. Our technical activities involve conducting field and laboratory studies to determine the safety and efficacy of new agrochemicals, veterinary medicines/pharmaceuticals and crop varieties. We offer outstanding technical knowledge and project management skills, and are experts in managing field and laboratory studies, including GLP residue studies, analytical method development and physico-chemical property testing.
An exciting opportunity to join a leading agricultural research company with local and international presence. Based in Shepparton, Eurofins is seeking an experienced agricultural researcher to expand our current operations. Candidates with previous experience in small plot research trials will be viewed favourably.
You will be required to effectively conduct agriculture scientific field research trials on behalf our clients with the support of our Study Management team.
Utilising your experience in horticulture and broadacre crops and further developing your skills and knowledge under our industry leading competency and training program.
The role of Field Research Scientist will consist of:
- Trial design and conduct of field trials (efficacy and residue)
- Calibrated application of agricultural chemicals
- Collection and presentation of field data and statistics
- Identification of various pests and diseases
- Frequent communication with Study Directors, local growers and agronomists
- Participation in planting and harvest activities in various crop types
- Execution of the quality principals of scientific research
This role is field based and a high level of autonomy is required.
